Landscapes and Waterscapes
I have tried to capture the feeling of that moment when I’ve said to myself “Look how beautiful this is, I should paint this”. Across the seasons: summer, fall, winter and spring, I’ve been struck by the beauty of the environment. Many of these paintings are based on local New England scenes. If you enjoy fishing on rivers and lakes, the Farmington River, or at the beach in Long Island Sound on the sandbars Milford, CT; you can find it here. There is also the peaceful beauty of snow scenes and maple sugaring. Marshes, fields, mountains, rivers, beaches and waves, farms, and ‘big skies’ are also favorite topics of mine. Look for the Lake Champlain Valley and the West River from Vermont, and images from Smith College campus- the Presidents House from Paradise Pond and the greenhouse, in Northampton, MA. Trips to Colorado, Alaska and southern France have also provided inspiration for me to capture the beauty of those places.
